Answer:

Bill is also equally and somewhere more liable as he is the employer.

Explanation:

Although in records it might seem that George did the falsify act, but for that he required the permission of his employer.

When the fact is clearly stated that George did this on direction of his employer Bill, and that Bill demanded this intentionally in order to present extra profits, he is more liable for this false act.

As George is the employee, he is bound  to follow the directions of his employer. Thus Bill is crucially liable for this act, as he is an important reason for this act.

joja [24]

Answer:

Appliance Possible Inc. (AP)

a) Flexible Budgets for productions level:

i) Production level of 90,000 units:

Unit variable cost = $13 $(7+4+2)

Total Variable Costs = 90,000 x $13 = $1,170,000

Fixed Costs = $225,000

Total Costs = $1,395,000

ii) Production level of 105,000 units:

Total Variable costs = 105,000 x $13 = $1,365,000

Fixed Costs = $225,000

Total Costs = $1,590,000

iii) Production level of 120,000 units:

Total Variable costs = 120,000 x $13 = $1,560,000

Fixed Costs = $225,000

Total Costs = $1,785,000

b) If AP sells the toaster ovens for $18 each, to make a profit of $309,000 before taxes, units to be sold are:

Break-even Point + Target Profit =  (Fixed Cost + Target Profit)/Contribution per unit

Contribution per unit = $18 - $13 = $5

= ($225,000 + $309,000)/ $5

= $534,000/$5

= 106,800 units

Explanation:

a) A flexible budget tries to change the level of output.  It is a technique used to assess performance under different volumes or activities.  It helps management to make the right decisions, given the fact that different levels of activity may call for different cost and revenue reflections.

b) To make a target profit, the fixed cost is added to the target profit and divided by the unit contribution.  This produces the number of units to be sold in order to achieve the target profit.

c) Contribution is the difference between the selling value and the variable costs.  It is the element that covers fixed costs and generates profit before taxes.

Economic profits are:a.less than accounting profits if implicit costs are greater than zero.b.less than accounting profits even
Lady bird [3.3K]

Answer:

option (a) is correct.

Explanation:

Economic profits refers to the profits which comes out after deducting the implicit costs and explicit costs from the total revenue.

Whereas the accounting profits takes into the effect of explicit costs only.

Implicit cost refers to the loss of money income by choosing some other alternative. It is also known as the opportunity cost.

Explicit costs refers to the costs that are incurred for operating or running a business.

Accounting profit = Total revenue - Explicit costs

Economic profit = Total revenue - Explicit costs - Implicit costs

Therefore, if the implicit costs are greater than zero then the economic profits is less than the accounting profits.

Break-Even for a Service Firm Jonah Graham owns and operates The Green Thumb Company (GTC), which provides live plants and flowe
kenny6666 [7]

Answer:

The company should provide, in average, 90 jobs per month in order to break even.

Explanation:

We will assume that the variable costs are proportional to the quantity and thus VC=a*Q

the profit obtained is

profit = P*Q  , (Price [$/job] * Jobs sold [jobs])

and the total costs are

total costs= FC+VC = FC + a*Q , FC=fixed costs

in order to break even the quantity sold should be enough to cover all costs, therefore

profit = total costs

P*Q = FC + a*Q → Q= FC/(P-a)

thus

Q= FC/(P-a) = $3240 / ($60/job - $24/job) = 90 jobs
