Brand 2 is the best value ⇒ B

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us write the Brand, Number of Packets and Cost

  • → Brand : Number of Packets : Cost
  • → 1          : 12                              : $10.68
  • → 2         : 16                              : $9.44
  • → 3         : 18                              : $15.30
  • → 4         : 24                             : $21.84
  • → 5         : 30                             : $20.40

We need to find what brand is the best value

To find that let us find the price of each packet in each brand, by dividing the price of the brand by the number of the packets, the cheapest price is the best

∵ Brand 1 has 12 packets

∵ The price of Brand 1 is $10.68

∴ The price of each packet = 10.68 ÷ 12 = 0.89

∴ The price of each packet in Brand 1 is $0.89

∵ Brand 2 has 16 packets

∵ The price of Brand 2 is $9.44

∴ The price of each packet = 9.44 ÷ 16 = 0.59

∴ The price of each packet in Brand 2 is $0.59

∵ Brand 3 has 18 packets

∵ The price of Brand 3 is $15.30

∴ The price of each packet = 15.30 ÷ 18 = 0.85

∴ The price of each packet in Brand 3 is $0.85

∵ Brand 4 has 24 packets

∵ The price of Brand 4 is $21.84

∴ The price of each packet = 21.84 ÷ 24 = 0.91

∴ The price of each packet in Brand 4 is $0.91

∵ Brand 5 has 30 packets

∵ The price of Brand 5 is $20.40

∴ The price of each packet = 20.40 ÷ 30 = 0.68

∴ The price of each packet in Brand 5 is $0.68

∵ The least price of a packet is in Brand 2

∴ The cheapest price is Brand 2

Brand 2 is the best value

The number of football games with a score less than or equal to 29 is equal to half the number of basketball games with a score
Rama09 [41]

Answer:

basketball player scored 40 points in a game. The number of three-point field goals the player made was 22 less than three times the number of free throws (each worth 1 point). Twice the number of two point field goals the player made was 11 more than the number of three point field goals made. Find the number of free-throws, two point field goals, and three point field goals that the player made in the game.

Once I have the equations I understand how to do the problem, but I am obviously doing something wrong because each time I write out the equations I end up getting fractions.

Need help please explain w answer if you can.
uranmaximum [27]
Start by looking at the components of the line, basically the legs if you were to make it a right triangle.
components = < x1 - x2,  y1 - y2 >
< 10-5 , 12-4 > = < 5 , 8 >
So the line starts at A and goes right 5 then up 8 to point B.

We need a point 3:1 distance which means that if X is our new point, length AX is 3 times length of XB.

3+1 = 4 parts total
Point X will be 3/4 distance

3/4 the components
< 5(3/4) , 8(3/4) > = < 15/4 , 6 >
Add these to point A to go right and up to the new point X.

(5 + 15/4 , 4 + 6) = (35/4 , 10)
35/4 = 8 3/4
so the first one is correct.
