Give your opinion on whether American society today has too much liberty or too much order. Support your opinion by identifying
lilavasa [31]

Answer and Explanation:

American society has a lot of freedom, being, in fact, one of the nations that most promote freedom to its citizens. This is totally justified, since the USA was established as a place where freedom would be full and offered to all citizens. This concept has been maintained over the years, allowing American citizens to have religious, political freedom and to be able to establish their goals in whatever way they think is most appropriate. However, this does not mean that freedom was offered to all on an equal basis, in addition, the concept of freedom is relative among citizens and many believe that their freedom is only allowed when there is order and deprivation of the freedom of other citizens. This search for order has caused many problems for society, especially problems regarding the rights of blacks, women, foreigners, refugees and other social minorities

What is the role of the appellate court quizlet?
Lisa [10]

Three judges sit on appeals courts, which do not employ juries. Whether or not the law was correctly applied in the trial court is something that the appellate court must decide.

The power of a court to rehear or reconsider a case determined by a lower court is referred to as appellate jurisdiction. The Supreme Court and High Courts of India both have appellate authority. They have the power to either reverse or sustain lower court rulings. To ensure that the proceedings were fair and the appropriate law was applied correctly, appellate courts examine the processes and rulings made by the trial court. The U.S. Supreme Court, the highest appellate court in the country, only considers appeals with significant weight and significance. There must be fundamental distinctions between trial and appellate courts, general and limited jurisdiction courts, and criminal and civil courts.

Explain the probation and parole functions, and explain the limitations and circumstances of someone on parole.
katrin [286]

Answer:parolee-is someone who's a convicted criminal and allows them to live a new life with supervision to be maintained and make sure they don't do anything their technically still serving time in jail obviously but where they spent jail time they aren't allowed to leave that area for example if they spent it in South Carolina they can't travel to Florida to start a new.

Probation-Is someone who instead of going to jail they will have a officer or court to always report back to with what their doing and where they are they aren't allowed to have any weapons or anything around not even drugs they are allowed to stay in their community only and nowhere else as long as their being supervised

Explanation:they are quite similar with needing to be watched by the police and they are required to check in otherwise it will be trouble for them unless they somehow get their way out of the trouble
