Answer:

answer C (y-8)

Step-by-step explanation:

The binomial (y - 2) is a factor of y^2-10y+16

LEts factor y^2-10y+16 to find out other factor

Product is 16 and sum is -10

LEts find out two factors whose product is 16 and add upto -10

y-2 is a factor given already

so -2 is one of the factor

-2 * -8 = 16

-2+(-8)=-10

So factors are -2 and -8

y^2-10y+16

(y-2)(y-8)

Hence other factor is (y-8)
