General Idea:

Sum of angles subtended at the centre and point of contact by tangents down from an external point is supplementary (180°).

Applying the concept:

Considering the point of contact of two tangents of large circle, we can write

\angle DFE+\angle DGE=180

We are given \angle DFE=140, so the equation will become

140+\angle DGE=180 {Subtracting 140 on both sides}

140+\angle DGE -140 = 180 - 140\\ \\ \angle DGE = 40

Considering the point of contact of two tangents of small circle, we can write

\angle ACB + \angle AGB = 180\\ \\ Note: \angle AGB = \angle DGE = 40\\ \\ \angle ACB + 40 = 180

Subtracting 40 on both sides, we get...

\angle ACB +40 - 40 = 180 - 40\\ \\ \angle ACB = 140

Conclusion:

/angle ACB = 40

Find the median and mean of the data set below: 30, 39, 24, 19, 18 Median Mean
Eva8 [605]

Answer:  mean=26 , median=24

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean=Sum of all values/number of values

mean= 30+39+24+ 19+18/5

         = 130/5

 mean=26

Median

arrange data in order

    18,19,24,20,39

In the case of ungrouped odd-numbered data, the number that  divided data into 2 equal parts is called the median.

so median=24

Solve the Equation.
IgorLugansk [536]
<h2>1.</h2>

Firstly, combine like terms: 7r-8=10+r

Next, subtract r on both sides of the equation: 6r-8=10

Next, add 8 onto both sides of the equation: 6r=18

Lastly, divide both sides by 6 and <em><u>your answer will be r = 3.</u></em>

<h2>2.</h2>

Firstly, multiply both sides by e: TE=3u

Lastly, divide both sides by 3, and <em><u>your answer will be \frac{TE}{3}=u</u></em>
