Answer:b. Defense against cultural difference.

Explanation:

Defense against cultural differenceis occurs when one thinks that their own culture is the only good one and other cultures doesn't come any closer to that.

This person believes in using "us" when referring to all those in his or her culture but refer to those from other cultures as "them". When they refer to "we" they consider themselves and others in their groups as more important or superior and everyone as inferior.

Usually these people are intimidated by other cultures so their defence mechanism is to criticize these other cultures in order to feel better about their own culture.

What is the difference between a layer based on composition vs. Response to stress?
Virty [35]

Answer:

There are differences between layers of the earth based on composition and in response to stress.

Explanation:

There are three layers of Earth based on 'chemical composition': the crust, the mantle, and the core. The outermost part is the crust which is less than 1% of Earth by mass. It consists of oceanic crust and continental crust. The mantle is hot and the last layer core is mostly composed of iron metal.

The physical behavior of earth depends on how much pressure it faces and its repose to stress. As we go deep inside the earth, the pressure and temperature increase. Lithosphere, Asthenosphere, Upper and lower mesosphere, outer and inner core are layers of Earth subjected to pressure. Lithosphere is the strongest layer. Asthenosphere being weaker than lithosphere.

Answer:

The answer is: letter D, using reason and observation to solve a problem.

Explanation:

Renee Descartes was a French philosopher who founded the modern philosophy while Francis Bacon was an English philosopher who developed the scientific method. According to both of them, a critical step in reaching a sound scientific conclusion is by using reason and observation in order to solve it.

Observation and perceptual experiences co-existed in order to predict the outcome. In order to solve a problem, the necessity to reason out is important. The solution needs to have a reason in order to aid the readers how the researcher came up with it.

For example, Renee Descartes employed the cause-and-effect method when it comes to problem solving. He emphasized that reason was the main source of the researcher's knowledge.

Thus, this explains the answer.
