An engine absorbs 2150 J as heat from a hot reservoir and gives off 750 J as heat to a cold reservoir during each cycle. What is
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

65.2 %

Explanation:

Let Q1 = Heat absorbed by the system

Q2 = Heat released by the system

e= (1 - (Q2/Q1)) x 100

e= (1 - (750/2150)) x 100

e= (1 - 0.348) x 100

e= 0.652 x 100

e= 65.2 %

Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

133.62 kmh.

Explanation:

Time provided = 3.25 hours.

Distance to be covered 300 km

Times spent in first  100 km = 1 hour

Time spent in next 43 km

= 43 / 40 = 1.075 hours

Total time spent = 2.075 hours

Total distance covered = 143 km

Distance remaining = 300 - 143

=157 km .

Time remaining = 3.25 - 2.075

= 1.175

Speed required = Distance remaining / time remaining

= 157 / 1.175

= 133.62 kmh.

Which occurs when a wave is reflected?
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer: The wave can flip upside down.

Reflection is the bending of a wave when it cannot pass through. For example, plain mirrors which are flat, a ray of light hits the mirror and is reflected from the mirror since it cannot pass through

When reflection occurs the speed and frequency of the wave does not change but the wave is flipped upside down.

The speed does not change because speed is affected by the change in medium the frequency also remains the same since the energy of the wave does not change.

Calculate accelerationof the following. calcutale the acceleration of josh rding his biycle in a straight line that speeds up fr
BartSMP [9]

Explanation:

Wooho Physics my favorite subject! And my 100th answer :)

We will use the formula

\boxed{\tt{ Acceleration = \dfrac{v - u}{t}}}

  • Where v is Final velocity
  • And u is Initial velocity.
  • t is time taken.

In this question :-

  • u is 4 m/s
  • v is 6 m/s
  • t is 5 seconds

Applying the formula:-

\sf{ Acceleration = \dfrac{6 - 4}{5}}

\sf{ Acceleration = \dfrac{2}{5}}

So, Acceleration is 0.4 m/s² is the answer.

Hope it helps :)
