Answer: 1. Carbon is removed by the producers, and added by the consumers.

Explanation:

Carbon cycle is one of the important biogeochemical cycle. The carbon is present in the atmosphere to an appreciable amount in the form of carbon dioxide. This is absorbed by the producers like plants and other autotrophs to conduct the process of photosynthesis. The autotrophs are consumed by the consumers and the carbon dioxide is released by them in the form of fecal matter. The decomposition of these consumers by the soil microbes also add carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.

Which of these is happening when translation takes place?
beks73 [17]

The answer is B

Before the process of translation occurs, mRNA which bears the blue print or coded information for the synthesis of a specific protein arrives from the nucleus and into the cytoplasm where there are ribosomes

mRNA then attaches itself to a ribosome. The ribosome is the site where the protein is formed. It is sometimes referred to as the "work bench" of the cell. Once mRNA is attached, tRNA comes and begins to read and translate the coded information on the mRNA. This is the translation stage of protein synthesis.

Based on the translated information, tRNA then fetches amino acids from the pool of free amino acids found in the cytoplasm and brings them to the ribosome where they are joined to form a chain thus creating a protein.

How do ocean currents influence the climate of a place?
sveticcg [70]

ANSWER:

The correct option is A: They transport heat over long distances affecting the wind that blows over the land.

EXPLANATION:

 • Ocean currents carry cool or warm water or currents over long distances thereby affecting the wind that blows over the place bringing about a change in the climate.
 • When the ocean currents carry cool air, the warm wind gets displaced by the cool air and therefore the climate of the place becomes cold.
 • When the ocean currents carry warm air or water, the climate of the place becomes warmer.
 • By transporting hot or cold currents, the ocean currents affect the climatic conditions of land and so bring about a change of weather.
