The given formula A= 10 + ry

Solve for y means we have to make y alone

A= 10 + ry \\

Add -10 on both sides, we get

A - 10 = 10 -10 + ry \\A - 10 = 0 + ryA - 10 = ry

As there is multiplication sign between r and y so to solve for y, divide both side by r

\frac{A - 10}{r} = y\\\\y = \frac{A - 10}{r}

A shirt for $40, jeans for $50 and a watch for $35 are purchased at the mall. If 7% sales tax is charged, what will the total co
Inga [223]

Answer:B: 133.75$

Step-by-step explanation:

35 + 40 + 50= 125$

The total sales tax is 7%

We can put this into decimal form 7/100= 0.07

Because we want to just add 7% of the value back on we can also add 1 to that number

1.07

125 x 1.07 = 133.75

Rewrite y = 2(10)t/12 in the form y = a(1+r)t or y = a(1 - r). Round the value of r to
svp [43]

Answer:

  • y=2(1+0.2115)^t
  • Exponential growth.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that: y=2(10)^{t/12}

To rewrite the model in the form y = a(1+r)^t or y = a(1 - r)^t

y=2(10)^{\frac{t}{12} }\\=2[(10)^\frac{1}{12}]^{t}\\=2[1.2115]^t\\

y=2(1+0.2115)^t is in the form y = a(1+r)^t or y = a(1 - r)^t where r=0.2115.

Since 1.2115>1, the model represents an exponential growth.
