What is an example of force of attraction between two objects that have mass

Chemistry

Technically, every particle attracts every other particle. The Shell theorem says that for spherical objects of uniform density, where neither object is inside the other, we can regard them as though all the mass of each object were located at the center of mass of that object.

The Shell Theorem may apply to forces besides gravity, (notably the Coulomb Force) but it would be the center of charge, rather than the center of gravity.

HELPPPPP!!<br><br>How can more water vapor get cold over one side of an island?
Veronika [31]

Answer:

Troposphere and Atmosphere In this chapter, students learn that water vapor condenses as it moves higher to where the atmosphere is colder. This idea helps students explain why more rain forms over West Ferris than East Ferris.

What is true of a sample of gas as temperature is increased?
aniked [119]

Answer:

The particles move faster, and their average kinetic energy increases.

Explanation:

When the temperature of gases increases the reaction rates will increase. Molecules of gases will be furnished with higher kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is directly proportional to temperature. Increase in temperature causes the frequency of ordinary collisions and effective collisions per unit time to increase. This leads to a surge in kinetic energy too.

Explain what is in a buffer. Discuss the function of a buffer. How will pH change when small amounts of acids or bases are added
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

Is a substance that can maintain  certain range of pH

Explanation:

A buffer is mixture of two salts that are complementary, one salt is acid and another is basic, but since then share some part of their structure, if you add to this mixture another acid, the basic salt can absorb it and still maintaining the same pH. If you pour a base, the acid salt will absorb it and again the final pH will remain the same. So the buffers are used to maintain the same pH does not matter if you add small quantities of an acid or base.

Consider this reaction: →2NH3g+N2g3H2g At a certain temperature it obeys this rate law: rate =2.11·M−1s−1NH32 Suppose a vessel c
enot [183]

Answer: It takes 5.89 s for the concentration of NH_3 to decrease by 88.0%.

Explanation:

2NH_3(g)\rightarrow N_2(g)+3H_2(g)

As the units of rate constant is M^{-1}s^{-1} , the kinetics must be second order.

Integrated rate law for second order kinetics is given by:

\frac{1}{a}=kt+\frac{1}{a_0}

a_0 = initiaal concentration = 0.590 M

a= concentration left after time t = 0.590-\frac{88}{100}\times 0.590=0.0708M

\frac{1}{0.0708}=2.11\times t+\frac{1}{0.590}

t=5.89s

Thus it takes 5.89 seconds for the concentration of NH_3 to decrease by 88.0%.
