Denisovans are an early hominin species that was first identified in 2010. They were named after the Denisova cave in Siberia wh

ere the first evidence of their existence (a tooth and a bone) were discovered in 2008. There is disagreement whether they constitute a species or subspecies, so they are respectively referred to as either Homo denisova or Homo sapiens denisova. Current research suggests that H. sapiens and Denisovans may have overlapped in different geographical regions, and more importantly, interbred. Provide TWO pieces of evidence, with explanation, that support the hypothesis that H. sapiens and Denisovanindividuals interbred.

Answer:

There is no short answer.

Explanation:

According to the research done on the denisovan bones found in the siberia cave, the interbreeding between denisovans and homo sapiens might have took place around 44,000 years ago. The research shows what percentage of the genome of the people are similar to the denisovans and where these percentages change.

Melanesians share around 4 to 6 percent of Denisovan genome and this number goes down to around 0.2 percent among Asians and Native Americans.

What are the reasons for ultra-thin and transparent nature of epidermal cells?
Basile [38]

Answer:

Epidermal cells secrete the waxy hydrophobic substance cutin that polymerizes on the surface, forming a barrier to water evaporation. Epidermal cells are transparent because their plastids remain small and undifferentiated; hence light readily penetrates through to the photosynthetic tissues beneath the epidermis.

How is neuron like and different from a blood cell
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

Neurons are similar to other cells because neurons have a cell membrane, a nucleus, cytoplasm, mitochondria, organelles, and carry out processes such as energy production.

Neurons differ from other cells because neurons have extensions called axons and dendrites, they communicate with each other through an electrochemical process which we just talked about, and neurons have specialized structures such as synapses and chemicals such as neurotransmitters.

In most natural populations rapid exponential growth is unsustainable. As populations
adell [148]
Answer:
Carrying capacity is defined a the ability of the natural ecosystem to take care of the environment which does not necessarily cause the resistance in population increase.
Explanation:
The earth indeed has a mechanism of delivering changes to the system and keeping it intact but as the case of the rapid growth of population arises the mother nature sees this as an exponent of unsustainable growth as the resource used to sustain large populations is no longer available or are exhausted.
A population increase so does the carrying capacity and workload of the natural environment which at the time gets slow due either due to the man's artificial technology or the natural process like hurricane or earthquake itself.
But seeing the nature as providing possibilities for the existence of the societies throughout ages and hence trying to maintain its originality may break those activities that it considers resistance as several biotic factors like predators, disease, competition, and lack of food.
