The Audi covers 88 in one hour.
22 is one quarter of 88, so it takes one quarter of one hour. That's 15 minutes.
Note:. The answer would be the same for any other brand of car, motorcycle, airplane etc.

The First Quarter Moon always occurs when A. the Moon is directly opposite the position of the Sun. B. when the Moon is closer t
Paul [167]

Answer:

Option D

When the Moon is at right angles to the direction of the Sun.

Explanation:

The moon does not shine on its own, for example, like the sun that emits light as a consequence of its temperature. Instead, the moon is reflecting the sunlight (that is known as albedo).

The moon orbits the earth in a time 27.3 day, a sidereal period. According to that and the fact the Earth orbits the Sun, the moon will show different phases when is reflecting the sunlight along a month due to the configuration of those three celestial objects (Moon, Earth and the Sun).

When there is a Right angle between the Moon and to the direction of the Sun, half its face will appear to be illuminated in the night sky (that is called First Quarter).

Notice that when the Moon is between the Earth and the Sun it will be illuminated in its back, so it is not possible to see it from the Earth (that is called new moon).

However, a solar eclipse doesn't happens every month since the orbital plane of the moon is not in the same plane as the Earth's orbital plane with respect to the Sun.

The work function of an element is the energy required to remove an electron from the surface of the solid. The work function fo
vichka [17]

Answer:

λ = 548.7 nm

Explanation:

Hi!

First we want to know how much energy we need to remove 1 electron from the surface of the solid:

218.1 kJ/mol => 218 100 J / (6.022 x 10^23) electrons

                             = 3.621 x 10^-19 J/electron

That is we need 3.621 x 10^-19 J to remove one electron

Now we can calculate the wavelength that a photon must have in order to have this energy:

E = (hc) / λ

λ = (hc) / Ε

where

 h = 6,626070150(69) ×10 -34 Js (wikipedia)

 c = 3 x10^8 m/s

hc = 1.987 x 10^-25 Jm

Therefore:

λ = ( 1.987 x 10^-25 /3.621 x 10^-19 ) m = 5.487 x 10^-7 m

λ = 548.7 nm

A wave with a greater amplitude will transfer . . . . \
Orlov [11]

Answer:

More energy

Explanation:

The amount of energy carried by a wave is related to the amplitude of the wave itself. In particular, the amount of energy carried by the wave is proportional to the square of the amplitude of the wave:

E \propto A^2

where

E is the energy

A is the amplitude

This means, for instance, that if the amplitude of a wave is doubled, the energy it carries increases by a factor 4.

A different scaffold that weighs 400 N supports two painters, one 500 N and the other 400 N. The reading in the left scale is 80
fredd [130]

Answer:

500 N

Explanation:

Given that,

The upward force is 800 N and the downward forces are 400 N, 500 N, 400 N.

At equilibrium, the upward forces will become equal to the downward forces. Let the reading in the right hand scale.

x + 800 = 400 + 500 + 400

x + 800 = 1300

x = 1300 - 800

= 500 N

So, the reading in the right hand scale is 500 N.
