Answer:

RT=5

Step-by-step explanation:

You just have to solve the equations, as you know, RST are collinear and RT equals RS + ST, so we just put that into an equation:

Rt=RS+ST\\5x-5=x+1+(2x-2)\\5x-5=3x-1\\2x=4\\x=2

Now as we know x=2 now we just insert that value into the value of RT:

RT= 5x-5\\RT= 5(2)-5\\RT=10-5\\RT=5

So the answer is RT equals 5 units.

Differentiate f(x) = \frac{x^{3}-4 x+1}{x^{3}}.
miv72 [106K]
f(x) = \frac{x^{3}-4 x+1}{x^{3}}\\
f'(x)=\frac{(3x^2-4)\cdot x^3-(x^3-4x+1)\cdot3x^2}{x^6}\\
f'(x)=\frac{x^2(3x^3-4x-3x^3+12x-3)}{x^6}\\
f'(x)=\frac{8x-3}{x^4}\\
