To do this you need to multiply 1,800 by ten. you will get 18,000. Then you need to divide this by 1000 to get 18. 18 1000's will equal ten 1800

A Triangle has an area of 36cm^2. The base and height are scaled by a factor of 5. What is the area of the resulting triangle?
Finger [1]

Answer:

Area of resulting triangle  will be 900 cm^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

When sides of  any polygon if scaled by a factor of k

then area is scaled by k^2

According to the above statement

therefore  here in the question since area of original triangle was 36cm^2

and both  base and height are scaled by a factor of 5.

therefore area of scaled triangle will be 5^2 times of the original

that is 25 x 36 which gives 900 cm^2

So area of resulting triangle will be 900 cm^2

sally gave her brother 3.95 in quarters and dimes. if the number of quarters is 6 more then the number of dimes, how many quarte
iragen [17]
Let q be the number of 25 cent coins.
Let d be the number of 10 cent coins.
0.25q+0.10d= 3.95...(1)
q-d=6...(2)

(2)->    q-d= 6
       q-d+d= 6+d
              q= 6+d...(2a)

(2a)-> (1)      0.25q+0.10d=3.95
              0.25(6+d)=0.10d= 3.95
           1.95+0.25d+0.10d= 3.95
                               0.35d= 3.95-1.5
                       0.35d/0.35= 2.45/0.35
                                      d= 7...(3)

(3)->(2)     q-d= 6
                 q-7= 6
                    q=6+7
                    q= 13
There are 13 quarters and 7 dimes.

If the speed of a is 3 ft/s up and is increasing at 4 what is the instantaneous speed and acceleration
Tasya [4]
Sorry I'm in high school.. but according to my physics class, the instantaneous speed is when t (time) is 0, or whatever you'd use (like x).. anyways, when t=0, the instantaneous speed would be 3 ft/s, and the instantaneous acceleration is 0.
