Answer:  If the President agrees substantially with the bill, he or she may sign it into law, and the bill is then printed in the Statutes at Large. If the President believes the law to be bad policy, he may veto it and send it back to Congress.

Explanation:  A member of Congress introduces a bill into his or her legislative chamber. ... The president may sign the act of Congress into law, or he may veto it. Congress can then override the president's veto by a two-thirds vote of both the House and Senate thereby making the vetoed act a law.

How did prohibition contribute to the growth of organized crime ?
fiasKO [112]
Prohibition contributed to the growth of organized crime because when alcohol was outlawed there was still a high rate of demand so organized criminal groups mobilized to fill the gap in supply. Alcohol was a commonly consumed product prior to prohibition and so the high profitability of the product led to a large growth in organized criminal groups.

Why did Hammurabi have his laws engraved in stone and placed in a public place?
AVprozaik [17]
This was actually a very smart behaviour. This way the law was accessible to everyone so on one hand, noone could say "I didn't know" and on the other hand it could be used for reference by anyone and people would not need to seek council in every matter. This also decreased the possibility to abuse power (if the law was only accessible to few, those few could abuse their power by manipulating it in their favour).
