ANTONII [103]

Answer:

Share Authorized = 100,000 Shares

Share issued = 70,000

Share outstanding = 66,000 shares

Explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Number of shares Gagne Corporation allows the issuance = 100,000 shares

Number of shares Gagne sold to shareholders =  70,000

Number of shares reacquired by Gagne = 4,000

Now,

Share Authorized = Number of shares Gagne Corporation allows the issuance

Share issued = Number of shares Gagne sold to shareholders

= 70,000

Share outstanding = Shares issued - Number of shares reacquired

= 70,000 - 4,000

-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

B) False: since it is still a closely held C corporation, it cannot reduce its ordinary income through passive losses. If it hadn't been a closely held C corporation then it could have made the deductions.

Explanation:

Passive losses are losses resulting from financial activities, i.e. investments in other corporations where the investor doesn't participate in.

Passive losses cannot offset ordinary income, they must be matched against passive gains only. If passive losses exceed passive gains, they can be carried forward without limitation.

The only exception applies to C corporations that are not;

  • closely held corporations or
  • personal service corporations.

Qualifying C corporations can actually deduct passive losses from certain ordinary income.

Closely held C Corporations are corporations where during the last 6 months, 50% or more of its stock is owned by 5 or fewer investors.

"The average monthly rent for a two-bedroom apartment in City A is $820 with a standard deviation of $86. The average monthly re
notsponge [240]

Answer:

Explanation:

We shall apply the concept of coefficient of variation to know the consistency of data

coefficient of variation

= standard deviation / mean or average

In case of City A

coefficient of variation  = 86 / 820

= .1048

In case of City B

coefficient of variation  = 75 / 790

= .0949

Since it is less for city B , rent for this city is more consistence or with less of variation

So the conclusion  is false.
