You have to solve this system of equations to get the answer. One way you could go about that would be to add the systems together. This will eliminate the y and turn it into a single variable algebra problem. x+y=42 x-y=16 ------- 2x = 58 Once you solve that for x, you can plug that result back in to either of the first two equations and solve for y.

Your answer is A

It cannot be C because the line y > -2 uses the (>) greater than symbol.

When equations have a greater than symbol, they are graphed using a dotted line.

It cannot be D because the line is y ≤ - l x-1 l

with the less than or equal to sign (≤) , you use a solid line to graph

With the greater than symbol for y > -2 , the shaded region must be above this line.

With the less than or equal to sign in y ≤ - l x-1 l , the shaded region must be below the line.

Semenov [28]

Answer: Plan A is less expensive for 50 minutes. About $6 less than Plan B

At 200 minutes, both plans cost $24

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) Look at the numbers for minutes going across the bottom from left to right. Find 50. Follow the grid line up to where the blue line crosses it. (The blue line is lower than the red line so the cost is less.) Look at the numbers on the cost scale to verify the difference if someone asked. Plan A costs $6. Plab B costs $12 for 50 minutes.

2.) Look at where the Red and Blue lines intersect. That is where the plans cost the same amount of money for the same amount of minutes. Follow the grid line down from that point to find the number of minutes.
