I don't see a drawing of the quadrilaterals, so I don't know what the perimeter of quadrilateral P is. But whatever the perimeter of P is, Q will be 1/3 of that. Perimeter is a length, so even though it may pertain to a 2-dimensional object, it is still a 1-dimensional, linear measure. When two objects are similar (same shape, but scaled up or down by a scale factor), all corresponding linear measures have the same scale factor.

If you were asked about area or volume, that would be a different matter. In the case of area, you would square the scale factor, and in the case of volume, you would cube the scale factor.

F(x)=√x+11. Find the inverse of f(x).
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

f(x)⁻¹ = (x - 11)²

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the inverse of the function, you need to (1) swap the places of the "x" and "y" variables and then (2) solve for "y". Remember, f(x) is another way of writing "y".

y = √x + 11                                        <----- Original equation

x = √y + 11                                        <----- Swap variables

x - 11 = √y                                         <----- Subtract 11 from both sides

(x - 11)² = (√y)²                                  <----- Square both sides

(x - 11)² = y                                        <----- Simplify

Another way of writing the output of an inverse function is with f(x)⁻¹.

What is the solution to 9x−6<21?
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

x < 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve it like a normal equation

Isolate the variable along with its constant

9x - 6 + 6< 21 + 6

9x < 27

Isolate the variable its self

9x/9 < 27/9

x < 3

Tim and Luke start a lawn-mowing business and buy a lawnmower for $325. They plan to charge $25 to mow one lawn. Which inequalit
bonufazy [111]

lawnmower = 325 USD

lawn mowing = 25 / lawn

total profit >= 1000 USD

x = number of lawns

25x - 325 = 1000

25x = 1000 + 325

x = 1325 / 25

x >= 53 lawns

25(53) >= 325 + 1000

The answer is D.
