Answer:

(A) 0.3488 rad/sec

(B) 124.246 m

Explanation:

We have given car completes one revolution in 18 sec'

So time period T= 18 sec

Tangential speed v = 43.4 m/sec

(A) Angular velocity is given by \omega =\frac{2\pi }{T}=\frac{2\times 3.14}{18}=0.3488rad/sec

(B) Tangential velocity is given v = 43.4 m /sec

We know that v=\omega r

r=\frac{v}{\omega }=\frac{43.4}{0.3488}=124.426m

For each of the cases listed below, decide whether or not the motion described is an example of acceleration: (T/F)
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

1. True

2. True

3. False

4. False

5. True

6. False

Explanation:

Acceleration: It refers to the change in velocity/speed of an object with respect to time. When the speed increases with time we call it acceleration and when its decreases it is called as deceleration. Let us analyze each instance individually:

1. When roller coaster starts to roll down the track its speed will increase with time. That means it is accelerating.

2. When the ball reaches at the peak of its trajectory, it comes to a stop for a fraction of a second that means it decelerates.

3. Since the velocity remains constant there is no acceleration.

4. Since the speed is no changing with time, there is no acceleration.

5. Since the moving plane comes to a stop, it is a case of deceleration.

6. Since the truck is moving at a constant speed so the acceleration is zero.

Many fitness programs include weight training, which A. can be used in place of aerobic exercise, when done regularly. B. helps
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]
The answer would be C) because weight lifting is used to increase your muscular strength, and that's why you try and add more weight during sessions, so it's not too easy for you and you can build a higher endurance.

. Are there human health risks from exposure (or overexposure) to X-rays? If so:
algol [13]

yes, there are human health risks caused by exposure to x rays

  • describe the main risk (s) ::: - may cause damage to cells in the body

                                                      - large doses may lead cells to be cancerous

                                                      - causes mutations in the DNA

  • describe common sources of exposure ( or overexposure ) :::

           - natural background radiation e.g. - cosmic rays

           - medical radiation e.g. - CT scans & medical x - rays

           - man - made radiation e.g. - airport security scanners

  • describe a technology, device, or behavior that can be used for protection, or to decrease exposure :::

          - x - ray beam filters

          - digital x - ray detectors

          - technologies reduce radiation doses in radiography &

            mammography

hope that helps !!

How is work affected when an object is lifted straight up instead of using a ramp? Work will increase.
kifflom [539]
Without friction, the amount of work only depends on the final height,
and is not affected by the route used to get there.

If the ramp has no friction, then it has no effect on the total amount
of work done. The work to lift the load straight up is the same.

If the ramp has some friction, then it takes more work to use the ramp
than to lift the load straight up. Then the work to lift the load straight up
would be less than when the ramp is used.
