The energy is being converted to the water yet it isn't rising because the water is absorbing the heat not reflecting it. I think this is correct but I'm not sure. I would like to know the answer if you find out though.

Awwwwww ... I think I know the answer, so dare I risk it ?
boiling is the keyword. water at 100 C. The heat is going into converting the water into steam. it's called a phase transition, and the heat, 'cos it's "hidden" is called "Latent Heat".

Similar thing happens when water freezes or melts. No change of temp, but change of phase.

Do I survive ?

If the mass of a material is 115 grams and the volume of the material is 16 cm3, what would the density of the material be?
hjlf
Well, density is mass/volume. So what's 115 g / 16 cm3? That'll get you your density. Remember that density will be in g/cm3!

A vector d has a magnitude of2.6 m and points north. What are the magnitudes and directions of the vectors (a) - d, (b) d/2.0, (
AleksandrR [38]

Solution :

A vector is defined as an element that has magnitude of some measure and direction.

It is given there is vector 'd' which has magnitude 2.6 m and its direction is towards north.

a). -d

    The magnitude of the vector '-d' is 2.6 m and its direction is reversed, i.e. its direction is towards south.

b). d/2.0

  The magnitude of the vector 'd/2.0' is 1.3 m and its direction is towards north.

c). - 2.5d

  The magnitude of the vector increases by 2.5 times i.e. 2.5 x 2.6 = 6.5 m and the direction is towards south.

d). 5.0d

    The magnitude of the vector increases by 5 times i.e. 5 x 2.6 = 13 m and the direction is towards north.

You drive your car from home at an
kondaur [170]

Answer:

60 km/h

Explanation:

In the first part of the trip, the speed is

v = 80 km/h

while the time interval is

t = 3 h

So, the distance covered is:

d = vt = (80)(3)= 240 km

The problem states that this distance is half distance between home and the destination - so, the total distance between home and the destination is

D=2d=2(240)=480 km

The time taken to cover the second part of the trip is 5 h, so the total time taken is

T = 3 h + 5 h = 8 h

Therefore, the average velocity for the entire trip is

v=\frac{D}{T}=\frac{480}{8}=60 km/h
