A variable is represented by a letter. It is put an equation because it’s unknown information that you need to solve for.

Does that help?

Answer:

It might help you if you knew what  variable was.

A variable can be (x) or (y) or anything really it just a letter the represents a number.

In this case, when it says solve for a variable it means find what the variable equals. For example:

4x + 18 = 2

here you need to find the value of X.

x = -5

X equals negative 5 because you multiply the variable to the number:

4 x -5 = -20

-20 + 18 = 2

making the answer:

4(-5) + 18 = 2

x = -5

(hope this helps)

Express r=2cos(theta)+2sin(theta) as a cartesian function.
Savatey [412]
The function is in polar coordinates.

When this is the case, to pass to rectagular (cartesian) coordinates you use:

x = r cos(theta)
y = r sin(theta)

Then,

x = [2cos(theta) + 2sin(theta)]cos(theta) =

= 2 [cos(theta)]^2 + 2sin(theta)cos(theta) = 2 [cos(theta)]^2 + sin(2theta)

y = [2cos(theta) + 2sin(theta)]sin(theta) =

= 2 cos(theta)sin(theta) + 2[sin(theta)]^2 = sin(2theta) + 2[sin(theta)]^2

assume that you have collected a sample of observations from over 100 households and their consumption and income patterns. usin
FromTheMoon [43]

The disposable income increases by $100, this means aggregate consumption will increase by $75 and autonomous consumption remains at $1000.

We are given the following in the question:

C(Y D )= 1000+0.75 YD

where C is the consumption and YD is the disposable income.

If the disposable income increases by $100, then we can write

C( Y D +100 ) - C(Y D) = 1000+ 0.75(Y D+100)-  (1000 + 0.75 Y D)

C( Y D +100 ) - C(Y D)= 75

Thus, the aggregate consumption will increase by $75.

Autonomous consumption is the consumption when customer makes no disposable income.

Thus, we put YD = 0

C(0) = 1000+ 0.75(0)

C(0)= 1000

Thus, the autonomous consumption is $1000.

The disposable income increases by $100, this means aggregate consumption will increase by $75 and autonomous consumption remains at $1000.

Natali [406]

Answer:

\boxed{x=-27, \: x=67}

Step-by-step explanation:

There can be two values of x.

The range is largest no. - smallest no.

Range = 64

Let x be the smallest no.

largest no. from the list is 37

37 - x = 64

-x = 64 - 37

x = -27

Let x be the largest no.

smallest no. from the list is 3

x - 3 = 64

x = 64 + 3

x = 67
