Material and non material culture have similarities and difference, but the bulk of the essay is on differences. Material Culture consist of everything that is part of our society. Non material culture are values, beliefs, behaviors, and social norms. 1. Dogs 2. Family. 3. Christianity 4.Cars 5. Television 6. Xbox 7. Work 8. School 9. sports. 10. Race.

Dogs are social animals that provide, protection, and company for owners. However, some cultures do not support owning dogs, instead dogs are killed and used as a source of food. Family consist of relatives of the same household.

Family is suppose to be there for one another during the ups and downs of life, and support ones dreams.

Christianity- Believes the bible is infallible and everything in it was inspired by God. God is the basis on how we live our life, and other who come in contact with us know that we do not live life the same way the world does. Cars are a method of transportation that gets us from point a to point b. However owning a car consist of changing the oil, tires, and brake fluid. Once owning the car we are expected to pay insurance and gas.

Television- A T.V. that consist of sound and moving objects. People watch T.V. for entertainment and relaxation. Although, watching T.V. can be negative, there are many positive things about T.V. For example, TV's allow us to know what is going on in the world around us by watching the news. However, the media will leave out parts of an issue to convince us to believe and think a certain way.

<em>Everything which is present in the physical material or tangible is a material culture. </em>

<em>Intangible things like our beliefs, values, social norms are non-material culture. </em>

<h3>Ten objects as regular culture:</h3>

Ten objects that are present in society as a regular culture are; dogs, family, Christianity, cars TV, Xbox, Work, school, sports, and racism.

<h3><em>Aspects of non material culture (values and beliefs)</em></h3>

<em>A dog</em> is a social animal that gives security, and companionship for masters. Some cultures and societies don't like to keep dogs, besides this thy kill it and use it as a source of food.

<em>A family:</em> Has siblings from the same house. Families are always there for one another in all ups and downs in life and they support dreams of others.

<em>Christianity: </em>Christianity has faith that the bible is true, sparked by God. It is God, who decides how we live life.

<em>Cars: </em>The cars are<em> </em>used as transport that takes us from one place to other. A person who owns a car is responsible to change its oil and brake fluid. Insurance and gas are paid when someone owes car.

<em>Television: </em>Men, women, and children watch television for enjoyment and leisure. It is a source of getting news and views of different personalities. It has both positive and negative effects. It can cause a wastage of time for children because their study is very important than watching TV. Media will leave their incomplete discussion on you to rethink on it and makes you able to think about happenings in your own views.

<em>Xbox: </em>Xbox is a system with a game that permits us to play games. Video games are played on it, which teaches us how to solve issues while completing targets and missions.  It has become a very popular way to have fun with families and friends but it can also be a worse thing if one is addicted to it. They become a useless and non-social person in the community. It can be negative for kids, while playing a game their homework may not get done on that day.

<em>Work:</em> A specific job with full of duties.  It sharpens our minds, allowing us to think critically and meet different people of society. One should not take a job as burdon. Everyone should take it as a fun and prove yourself with work done.

<em>School: </em>A constructed and decorated place having teachers, principle, instructors with full of students. Kids and teenagers go to school to get an education and have physical activities too for physical growth. Some students go to school for study and some go to hang out with friends. School is a best place to teach someone about his or her responsibilities to society and families. Assignments and quizzes are given to the student as challenges. If anyone fails to complete it they suffer as low grades in that particular work.

<em>Sports:</em> Sports are very common nowadays. Student practices in high school in different sports and when they go to college, if anyone is good in that particular sport, he may get a scholarship and sign the contract to play on a higher level.

<em> Racism: </em>Racism is defined as to make differences and give priorities. It can be African, American, Spanish, Asian. Most white people get better jobs because they have good scores in SAT and they are well educated, where blacks are discriminated here.

<h3>Conclusion:</h3>

This exercise reveals that everything has positive and negative aspects which is present in our cultures. We must be educated to use these things and should be responsible for our deeds. We should adopt the culture in positive way and try to eliminate negative things.
