Martha, Brett, and Mike are competing in a cooking competition. They all used different amounts of oil from a can containing 8 g

allons of oil. Martha used 17% of the total oil in the can. Brett used 0.18 of the total oil in the can. Mike used 0.7 gallon of the total oil in the can.
My question is how would you turn those decimals into percentages?

Hi!

You can turn the decimals into percentages by multiplying the decimal by 100. Multiplying a decimal by 100 turns the decimal into a percentage. So for 0.18, we would do this:
0.18 \times 100 = 18\%
This would give us the percentage, which would be 18%.

We would do the same for 0.7, which would look like this:
0.07 \times 100 = 70\%
Which would give us our percentage, which would be 70%.

On conclusion, the formula for turning a decimal into a percentage is:
decimal \times 100 = \%
Hope this helps! Good luck!

A portfolio is efficient if which of the following is true?
fgiga [73]

Answer:

In economics, a portfolio is a term for a specific set of stocks, bonds, shares, and other securities owned by an investor. In general, the investor seeks to compile and diversify a portfolio of securities that offers maximum profitability and at the same time is diverse, in order to minimize possible risks. In general, these types of portfolios are considered efficient, as they do not leave the investment risk tied to a single factor. However, these two goals often go against each other, so the composition of the portfolio means a certain compromise.

GEOMETRY<br><br> *image is attached above*
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

(-9.5, -4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the ratio a:b (a to b) of two segments formed by a point of partition, and the endpoints of the original segment, we can calculate the point of partition using this formula:

( \frac{a }{a + b} (x_{2} - x_{1}) + x_{1}, \frac{a}{a + b} (y_{2} - y_{1})+y_{1}).

Given two endpoints of the original segment

→ (-10, -8) [(x₁, y₁)] and (-8, 8) [(x₂, y₂)]

Along with the ratio of the two partitioned segments

→ 1 to 3 = 1:3 [a:b]

Formed by the point that partitions the original segment to create the two partitioned ones

→ (x?, y?)

We can apply this formula and understand how it was derived to figure out where the point of partition is.

Here is the substitution:

x₁ = -10

y₁ = -8

x₂ = -8

y₂ = 8

a = 1

b = 3

( \frac{a }{a + b} (x_{2} - x_{1}) + x_{1}, \frac{a}{a + b} (y_{2} - y_{1})+y_{1}). →

( \frac{(1) }{(1) + (3)} ((-8) - (-10)) + (-10), \frac{(1)}{(1) + (3)} ((8) - (-8))+ (-8)) →

( \frac{1}{4} ((-8) - (-10)) + (-10), \frac{1}{4}((8) - (-8)) + (-8)) →

( \frac{1}{4} (2) + (-10), \frac{1}{4}(16) + (-8)) →

( (\frac{1}{2}) + (-10), (4) + (-8)) →

( (-\frac{19}{2}), (-4)) →

( -\frac{19}{2}, -4) →

*( -9.5, -4)*

Now the reason why this
