The work is being done against gravity, and equals (Force * vertical distance).

A Joule of work is equivalent to 1 Newton-metre

So vertical distance d = work done / Force

d = 4.35*10^-2J / 7.25*10^-2 N = 0.6 m = 60cm = 600mm

Hope this helps out ^^

How much electrical energy is used by the river cooker oven rated 800 W ,230 V is switched on for 30 minutes
mariarad [96]

Answer:

E = 1440 kJ

Explanation:

It is given that,

Power of a cooker oven is 800 W

Voltage at which it is operated is 230 V

Time, t = 30 minutes = 1800 seconds

We need to find the electrical energy used by the cooker oven. The product of power and time is equal to the energy consumed. So,

E=P\times t\\\\E=800\ W\times 1800\ s\\\\E=1440000\ J\\\\\text{or}\\\\E=1440\ kJ

So, electrical energy of 1440 kJ is consumed by the cooker oven.

The weigth of a body decrease in a coal mine why?
pychu [463]

Answer

Gravitational force is between two object caused by energy in mass. Here when you are in a mine the radius of the earth in case of calculating gravity is reduced to the length between you and the center.

This means the mass of earth is decreasing even though the distance is decreasing. Relative to the decrease in distance squared the decrease in the mass of the second object(earth) is more. As a result your weight decreases.

Identify the saturation pressure corresponding to 32 degrees fahrenheit for r - 123
dlinn [17]

Hg vacuum at 20 inches is the saturation pressure that corresponds to 32 degrees Fahrenheit of R-123.

To find the answer, we need to know more about the saturation pressure.

<h3>What is saturation pressure?</h3>
  • The saturation pressure is the pressure at which a vapor is in equilibrium with its liquid (such as steam with water).
  • It is the highest pressure that water vapor can get at a particular temperature.
  • R-123 refrigerant is probably hard to find these days.
  • It was discovered that chlorine-containing refrigerants have the potential to actively harm the Ozone layer if they are released into the atmosphere.
  • The saturation pressure that corresponds to 32 degrees Fahrenheit of R-123 is 20 inches Hg vacuum.

Thus, we can conclude that, Hg vacuum at 20 inches is the saturation pressure that corresponds to 32 degrees Fahrenheit of R-123.
