Answer:

The number is 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number

product is multiply

12 + (2x) = 4x -8

Subtract 2x from each side

12+2x-2x = 4x-2x-8

12 = 2x-8

Add 8 to each side

12+8 = 2x-8+8

20 = 2x

Divide by 2

20/2 = 2x/2

10 =x

Answer:

Algebraic expression

12 +2(x) = 4(x)-8

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the unknown number be x

12 +2(x) = 4(x)-8

Further solving

12+2x=4x-8\\\mathrm{Subtract\:}12\mathrm{\:from\:both\:sides}\\12+2x-12=4x-8-12\\\\Simplify\\2x=4x-20\\\\\mathrm{Subtract\:}4x\mathrm{\:from\:both\:sides}\\2x-4x=4x-20-4x\\\\Simplify\\-2x=-20\\\\\mathrm{Divide\:both\:sides\:by\:}-2\\\frac{-2x}{-2}=\frac{-20}{-2}\\\\Simpllify\\x =10

Determine whether each statement is always, sometimes, or never true. Explain your reasoning. (By the way, this has to do with a
Norma-Jean [14]
A).  |x| = |-x|
This is always true.
The definition of 'absolute' value is 'size of the number without its sign'.
That's what this expression says.

b).  |x| = -|x|
This is never true, because an absolute value is never negative.
This one would true if x=0 .  So maybe some people might say
it's sometimes true, but that doesn't feel right to me.  I say never.

c).  |-x| = -|x|
This looks to me like exactly the same situation as (b),
and I would say all the same things about it.

If $2940 is invested at 3.2% compounded quarterly, how much is in the account after 8 years?
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer:

The future value is $3793.776

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

PV = 2940 --- present value

r = 3.2\% --- rate

t = 8 --- time

n = 4 --- quarterly

Required

Determine the future value

This is calculated using:

FV = PV(1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt

So, we have:

FV =2940 * (1 + \frac{3.2\%}{4})^{4*8

FV =2940 * (1 + \frac{3.2}{400})^{32

FV =2940 * (1 + 0.008)^{32

FV =2940 * (1.008)^{32

FV =2940 * 1.2904

FV =3793.776

Plz someone help me on this question I rlly need help
Sauron [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

you simply have to mark the points in which the x and y coordinates are given take for example "1,4" it took him 4 minutes to read 1 page right? the one is marked as X and the 4 is marked as Y so put a point in which the 1 at X and the 4 at Y meet in the coordinates system. Do so with every coordinates and then draw a line in the direction of all the points
