Answer:

Mean = 242.83

Median = 265

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Observations (Number of jumps without stopping recorded per student);

Number of observation: 24

Mean is calculated using the following formula

Mean = Summation of Observation ÷ Number of Observation

Mean = (203 + 245 + 237 + 233 + 90 + 100 + 100 + 277 + 265 + 264 + 265 + 285 + 288 + 291 + 291 + 290 + 300 + 224 + 200 + 257 + 290 + 279 + 266 + 288)/24

Mean = 5828/24

Mean = 242.8333333333333

Mean = 242.83 ---- Approximated to the nearest hundredth

To calculate the median;

First, the observations have to be arranged in either ascending order or descending order.

Arranging in ascending order

90, 100, 100, 200, 203, 224, 233, 237, 245, 257, 265, 265, 265, 266, 277, 279, 285, 288, 288, 290, 290, 291, 291, 300

Given that the number of observations is 24 (an even number).

The median is gotten by taking the 2 number at the middle 12th and 13th items which are 265 and 265.

Then the average of these numbers is calculated

Median = ½(265 + 265)

Median = ½(265 * 2)

Median = 265

Well first to find the mean you will have to add up all the numbers together.
5,299 is the total. After you have done that count how many numbers there are. There are 24 numbers. Divide 5,299 by 24 and you get about 220.8. So the mean is 220.8 To find the median number of jumps, write out all the numbers in order from least to greatest. I think you can do this part! The middle number is your answer. If there is no middle number, get the two numbers that are on each side of the middle and divide by 2. Hope I helped!

Answer:

The answer is D $3.35

Step-by-step explanation:

2.35 + .25x = 1.75 + .40x \\ 2.35 = 1.75 + .40x - .25x \\ 2.35 = 1.75 + .15x \\ 2.35 - 1.75 = .15x \\ .60 = .15x \\   \frac{.60}{.15}  = x \\ x = 4

2.35 + .25(4) = 2.35 + 1 = 3.35

As per the problem

The chemicals in my swimming pool use a ratio of 5 tablets of chlorine for every 14 days.

we have been asked to find

Which ratio shows the number of chlorine tablets needed for 42 days?

Since for each 14 days the number of tablets required is 5

So if you multiply the number of days by some number then, we will have to multiply the number of tablets required by the same number.

So When number of days=14*3=42\\

Then the number of tablets required for 42 days is =5*3=15\\
