6.95 to one decimal place would be 7 because if it was 6.9 then it would round to 7 and the 6.95 rounds the 9 to a 10 and you cant have 6.10 so it would be 7.

If you round 6.95 to one decimal point you will get 7.0 or 7 because the number after the 9 is 5 which means I need to round up

What is the sales tax on a breakfast order that totals $10.50 when tax is 5%
Alecsey [184]
First, you would need to create an equation for this problem. Let x represent the unknown tax.
\frac{x}{10.50} = \frac{5}{100}

Next, you would cross multiply.
100x = 52.5

Now, all you would have to do is isolate the x. To do this, you would divide both sides by 100.
x = $0.525

I hope this helps!

The mass of Saturn is approximately 6 × 10^26 kg, while the mass of Mercury is approximately 3 × 10^23 kg. Which of the followin
yanalaym [24]

The right answer is:

C. The mass of Saturn is approximately two thousand times the mass of Mercury.

Step-by-step explanation:

We will find the ratio of both masses to compare them.

Given

Mass of Saturn = S = 6*10^{26}\ kg

Mass of Mercury = M = 3 * 10^{23}\ kg

The ratio of larger mass to smaller is:

\frac{S}{M} = \frac{6*10^{26}}{3*10^{23}}\\= \frac{6*1000*10^{23}}{3*10^{23}}\\= 2*1000\\=2000\ times

Hence,

The right answer is:

C. The mass of Saturn is approximately two thousand times the mass of Mercury.
