In what direction did the silk road go from China?

Silk Road, also called Silk Route, ancient trade route, linking China with the West, that carried goods and ideas between the two great civilizations of Rome and China. Silk went westward, and wools, gold, and silver went east. Hope this helps

The great and all powerful Soviet Union, and then after 1949 the communist german party took controlled which was maintained by the United Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR). Also I should mention that the Allies wanted to split the city of Berlin up since it was fair.. So Berlin was split in 4 parts and thats why you hear the name "Berlin Wall" which was the Soviet Wall surrounding their side of the city..

Both the Roman and Han economies were in large part based on agriculture.  Sea trade was less expensive than land trade and the fact that Rome was more of a naval empire than the Han Dynasty meant that commerce played a greater role in the Roman economy.
