1)the  equation in slope- intercept is y-y1 = m(x-x1) , but in first place you  must determine the slope with the points given and the formula m = y2-y1/x2-x1,

2) x1 = 0, y1 = 4 ;  x2= 1, y2= 7,  m = 7-4/ 1-0 , m = 3/1 = 3

3)  now wit a point and its slope determine the equation y-4 = 3(x-o)

I need you to answer with a, b, c, d
solong [7]

To find the zeros of a quadratic fiunction given the equation you can use the next quadratic formula after equal the function to 0:

\begin{gathered} ax^2+bx+c=0 \\  \\ x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt[]{b^2-4ac}}{2a} \end{gathered}

For the given function:

f(x)=2x^2-10x-3x=\frac{-(-10)\pm\sqrt[]{(-10)^2-4(2)(-3)}}{2(2)}x=\frac{10\pm\sqrt[]{100+24}}{4}\begin{gathered} x=\frac{10\pm\sqrt[]{124}}{4} \\  \\ x=\frac{10\pm\sqrt[]{2\cdot2\cdot31}}{4} \\  \\ x=\frac{10\pm\sqrt[]{2^2\cdot31}}{4} \\  \\ x=\frac{10\pm2\sqrt[]{31}}{4} \\  \end{gathered}\begin{gathered} x_1=\frac{10}{4}+\frac{2\sqrt[]{31}}{4} \\  \\ x_1=\frac{5}{2}+\frac{\sqrt[]{31}}{2} \end{gathered}\begin{gathered} x_2=\frac{10}{4}-\frac{2\sqrt[]{31}}{4} \\  \\ x_2=\frac{5}{2}-\frac{\sqrt[]{31}}{2} \end{gathered}

Then, the zeros of the given quadratic function are:

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{5}{2}+\frac{\sqrt[]{31}}{2} \\  \\ x_{}=\frac{5}{2}-\frac{\sqrt[]{31}}{2} \end{gathered}

Each bowl can hold 1/4 cup of nuts. Taisha has 3 3/8 cup of nuts. How many full bowls can she make?
aksik [14]

Answer:

13 bowls

Step-by-step explanation:

To figure out how many bowls of nuts she can make, we divide how many cups of nuts she has by how many cups of nuts in a bowl

3 3/8 ÷ 1/4

Lets change 3 3/8 into an improper fraction

3 3/8 = (8*3 +3)/8 = 27/8

27/8 ÷ 1/4

Copy dot flip

27 /8 * 4/1

27/2

2 goes into 27 13 times with 1 left over

13 1/2

She will have 13 full bowls of nuts
