There are many ways to work this out. One way could be:

Add up:
1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 = 3/4

Find 3/4 of 8 so;
8 / 4 = 2
2 x 3 = 6

Find what's remaining:
8 - 6 = 2

So Mr.Greg has sandwiches left.
Hope it helped :)

A graduated cylinder is filled with 36\pi36π36, pi cm^3 3 start superscript, 3, end superscript of liquid. The liquid is poured
lilavasa [31]
By definition, the volume of a cylinder is given by:
 V = π * r ^ 2 * h
 Where,
 r: cylinder radius
 h: height
 Clearing h we have:
 h = (V) / (π * r ^ 2)
 Substituting values:
 h = (36π) / (π * 3 ^ 2)
 h = (36π) / (9π)
 h = (36π) / (9π)
 h = 4 cm
 Answer:

The height of the liquid will be in the new cylinder about:

h = 4 cm

Olin [163]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1. area of square=10²=100 cm²

area of circle=πr²=π×2.5²=6.25π cm²

reqd. area=100-6.25π ≈80.375 cm²

2.

area of circle=π×2.5²=6.25π≈6.25×3.14≈19.625 cm²

area of rectangle=4×3=12 cm²

reqd. area=19.625-12≈7.625 cm²

3.

area of two circles=2×π×3²=18π≈18×3.14≈56.52 cm²

area of square=12²=144 cm²

reqd. area=144-56.52≈87.48 cm²

4.

area of smaller circle=π×4²=16π cm²

area of bigger circle=π×8²=64π cm²

area of two circles=16π+64π=80π cm²

diameter of bigger circle=4+4+8+8=24 cm

diameter of biggest circle=π×12²=144π

area of shaded region=144π-80π=64π≈200.96 cm²

A car travels the first 50km of its journey at an average speed of 25m/s snd the next 120km at an average speed of 80km/h. The c
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

84,6km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

the whole journey was

in the first part the car travels 50km, in the second part 120km and in the third part we can find it with a simple rule of three

90km--->60 min

X<--------35min= 52.5 km the car made in the last part

50km+120km+52,5km=222.5km was all the journey

and he made it in:

  • the last part in 35min,
  • in the second part we know that the car was going at 80km/h and that he made 120km so:

80km--->60 min

120km--->90 min

  • in the first part we know that the car was going at 25m/s and he made 50km. 25m/s*1km/1000m*3600s/1h= we obtain the speed in km/h=90km/h

90km---->60min

50km---->x=33,333 min

The whole journey last 33,333min+90min+35min=158.333min

if we express that in hour = 158.333min*1hr/60min=2.63

the car made 222.5km in 2.63 hour

so the average speed was

222.5---->2.63hr

X--------1hr=84,6

the average speed was 84,6km/h
