A function for Plan A would be a(x) = 30 + 5x; a function for Plan B would be b(x) = 50 + 2x; if he uses 6 GB or less of data he is better off with Plan A; if he uses more than 6 GB of data he is better off with Plan B.

The one month cost for each plan is where we begin each function.  We then add the price per GB multiplied by the unknown number of GB, x.  This is where both functions come from.

Using 5 or 6 as x, we see that the cost for Plan A is less.  Using 7 or 8 for x, we see that the cost for Plan B is less.

Alisha has a $15,000 car loan with a 6 percent interest rate that is compounded annually. How much will she have paid at the end
lesantik [10]

I have another total loan payment formula (see attached):

Total = rate * principal * # of payments / (1-((1 + rate)^-n))

Total = .005 * 15,000 * 60 / (1- ((1.005)^-60)

Total = 4,500 / (1 -0.7413721962)

Total = 4,500 / 0.2586278038

Total = 17,399.52

I know that is NOT one of the answers but I am sure of the formula and the calculations.   I hope this helps.
