Answer:

B. Two waves have displaced in opposite directions

Explanation:

Interference occurs when two waves meet at a point in space. When this occurs, two extreme conditions can occur:

- if the two waves are in phase (=displacement in the same direction), the amplitude of the resultant wave is equal to the sum of the amplitudes of the two waves:

A = A1 + A2

and this condition is called constructive interference

- if the two waves are in anti-phase (=displacement in opposite directions), the amplitude of the resultant wave is equal to the difference of the amplitudes of the two waves:

A = |A1 - A2|

and this condition is called destructive interference. Note that if A1=A2, the amplitude of the resultant wave is zero.

Explanation:

Snell's law (also known as Snell–Descartes law and the law of refraction) is a formula used to describe the relationship between the angles of incidence and refraction, when referring to light or other waves passing through a boundary between two different isotropic media, such as water, glass, or air.

A solid disc with a radius of 5.00 m and a mass of 20.0 kg is initially at rests and lies on the plane of the paper. A smaller s
drek231 [11]

Answer:

Explanation:

This problem is based on conservation of angular momentum.

moment of inertia of larger  disc I₁ = 1/2 m r²  , m is mass and r is radius of disc . I

I₁ = .5 x 20 x 5²

= 250 kgm²

moment of inertia of smaller  disc I₂ = 1/2 m r²  , m is mass and r is radius of disc . I

I₂ = .5 x 10 x 2.5²

= 31.25 kgm²

3500 rmp = 3500 / 60 rps

n = 58.33 rps

angular velocity of smaller disc ω₂ = 2πn

= 2π x 58.33

= 366.3124 rad /s

applying conservation of angular momentum

I₂ω₂  = ( I₁ +I₂) ω  , ω is the common angular velocity

31.25 x 366.3124 = ( 250 +31.25) ω

ω = 40.7 rad / s .

Which common house hold items will turn litmus paper blue
prohojiy [21]

Answer:

Toothpaste

Explanation:

When red litmus paper turns blue, it's a clear indicator that the solution or item where it was put is basic. The most common household item which is known to be basic is toothpaste. Experimental studies show that when you put red litmus paper into toothpaste solution, it turns blue.
