Answer: the resulting solution will be unsaturated

Explanation:

A saturated solution is a solution that contains just as much solute as it can normally hold at a particular temperature. An unsaturated solution contains less solutes than the amount required to saturate the solution. A solubility of 36g per 100g of water means that 36g of the salt dissolves completely in 100g of water. It also means that 18g of the salt will normally dissolve in 50g of water. Hence 15g of the salt in 50g of water is an unsaturated solution.

█ Explanation <span>█

</span>✦ We need to figure out if the solution is saturated or unsaturated.
<span>✦ Set up an equation to equal 86 grams
</span>✦ <span>15 g + 50 g = 86 grams
</span>✦ According to this equation, the solution is saturated because 86 = both grams of salt added to the water

Answer: The solution is saturated.

Heat is transferred by conduction through a wall of thickness 0.87 m. What is the rate of heat transfer if the walls thermal con
erik [133]

Explanation:

The given data is as follows.

         Thickness (dx) = 0.87 m,       thermal conductivity (k) = 13 W/m-K

        Surface area (A) = 5 m^{2},       T_{1} = 14^{o}C

        T_{2} = 93^{o}C

According to Fourier's law,

                    Q = -kA \frac{dT}{dx}

Hence, putting the given values into the above formula as follows.

                      Q = -kA \frac{dT}{dx}

                          = -13 W/m-k \times 5 m^{2} \times \frac{(14 - 93)}{0.87 m}

                          = 5902.298 W

Therefore, we can conclude that the rate of heat transfer is 5902.298 W.

Which of these describes a Mole in Chemistry?
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer: Thus the correct option is  D. All of the above describe a mole

Explanation:

According to avogadro's law, 1 mole of every substance weighs equal to molecular mass in grams.

1 mole of every substance contains avogadro's number 6.023\times 10^{23} of particles.

Mole is the S.I unit for measuring the amount of substance. It is often used to measure large number of particles.

Thus the correct option is  D. All of the above describe a mole

Which substance can not be broken down by a chemical change
Marina CMI [18]
A substance that cannot be broken down into even by chemical means is called an element. About 90 elements on the Periodic Table can be found naturally on Earth. Three of the most common ones are aluminium, silicon and oxygen.
Sorry I couldn't give you a more specific answer as your question wasn't multiple choice.
