\frac{7x 42}{x^{2}13x42 } =  \frac{7x}{ x^{2} 13x} =  \frac{7x}{13 x^{3} } =  \frac{7}{13 x^{2} }

The answer is \frac{7}{13 x^{2} }

That is not an answer choice...

Here is the answer 7/x+7

Now here is why: You have to use your box method to find out the 2 x's that fit together for the quadratic that is in the denominator. From what I did I got (x+6)(x+7). Now simplifying the numerator is just simply 7(x+6). Now both the numerator and the denominator have the factor (x+6) so you simply cancel, or "cross" them out of the problem. Now you are left with 7/x+7.

Your welcome :)

Solve the equation 6x^2 + 15x + 3= 2x^2 to the nearest tenth.
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

x = -0.2 and x = -3.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Combine like terms in the given equation, by subtracting 2x^2 from both sides:

6x^2 + 15x + 3 = 2x^2

-2x^2                = -2x^2

----------------------------------

4x^2 + 15x + 3 = 0

This is a quadratic equation.  We'll find the two solutions using the quadratic equation

      -b ± √(b^2 - 4ac)

x = ---------------------------

                  2a

Here the coefficients of the quadratic are a = 4, b = 15 and c = 3.

Thus, the discriminant b^2 - 4ac is 15^2 - 4(4)(3), or +177

and from that we know we'll find two real, unequal roots.

                                -15 ± √177

The roots are:  x = ------------------- , or x = -0.2 and x = -3.5

If f(1)=6 and f(n) = F(n - 1) + 2 then find the value of f(4).
Usimov [2.4K]

Hi there!

\large\boxed{f(4) = 12}

We know that:

f(1) = 6

F(n) = F(n - 1) + 2 (Meaning, the next "n" is 2 added to the previous)

We can count up to f(4) using this logic:

f(2) = F(2 - 1) + 2 = F(1) + 2 = 6 + 2 = 8

f(3) = F(2) + 2 = 8 + 2 = 10

f(4) = F(3) + 2 = 10 + 2 = 12

A survey was done on students’ favourite soft drink. 12 like coke, 10 like fanta and 14 like sprite. What percent like Fanta?
lyudmila [28]

Answer:

The Answer is 27.78

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>First,</em><em> we need to find the total amount of students,</em>

<em>12 + 10 + 14 =36</em>

<em>Secondly,</em><em> we need to find the percentage of fanta.</em>

<em>10 ÷ 36 = 0.2778</em>

<em>0.2778 × 100 = </em>

<em>27.78</em>

<em>Therefore, </em><em>the answer is </em><em>27.78%</em>

Hope I could help!
