pKa is a value which is related to the acid dissociation constant Ka

pKa = -log Ka

i.e. Ka = 10^-pKa

The deprotonation reaction of acetylene is:

HC≡CH ↔ HC≡C⁻ + H⁺

pKa (HC≡CH) = 25

Solvents with pKa greater than 25 will deprotonate acetylene.

Ans: CH2=CH⁻ pka = 44 and CH3NH⁻ pka = 40

How many protons, electrons, and neutrons does an atom with atomic number 50 and a mass number of 125 contain?
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

a) 50 protons, 50 electrons, 75 neutrons

Explanation:

How many protons, electrons, and neutrons does an atom with atomic number 50 and a mass number of 125 contain?

a) 50 protons, 50 electrons, 75 trons

b) 75 electrons, 50 protons, 50 neutrons

c) 120 neutrons, 50 protons, 75 electrons

atomic number IS the number of protons

atomic mass IS the total of protons + neutrons

so 50 protons

125-50 = 75 neutrons

in a neutral atom,

number of negative electrons = number of positive protons

a) 50 protons, 50 electrons, 75 neutrons

What causes a top to stop spinning?
lina2011 [118]
Tops stops spinning because it doesn't have energy or ran out of force for example when you spin a top you give force to it then after 30 sec it going to stop going slower and slower that Is losing energy that's how tops stops spinning
