Two cylinders A and B at the same temperature contain the same quantity of the same kind of gas. Cylinder A has three times the

volume of cylinder B. What can you conclude about the pressures the gases exert? The pressure in A must be one-third the pressure in B. The pressure in A is three times the pressure in B. We can conclude nothing about the pressures. The pressures must be equal.

Answer:

The pressure in A must be one-third the pressure in B

Explanation:

We shall apply gas law formula to solve the problem

gas law formula is as follows

P V / T = n R  ,     P , V and T are pressure, volume and temperature of n mole of a gas.

quantity of gas is same . That means n is same . R is universal constant so right hand side term is constant for gas in both the cylinders.

For gas in cylinder  A and B , this equation can be written in the following form

Pa Va / Ta  = Pb Vb / Tb

Given , Va = 3 Vb

Ta = Tb , temperature is same

Putting these values in the equation above ,

Pa 3Vb / Tb  = Pb Vb / Tb

3 Pa = Pb

Pa = 1/3 x Pb

Why does a mirror get misty after a shower??
masha68 [24]
This is because warm water vapor, suspended in the air, transforms back into water droplets as it cools. These small droplets collect on surrounding surfaces and are especially noticeable on materials such as glass since they distort light waves, making the mirror and windows appear foggy or misty

How much work done when .0080 C is moved through a potential difference of 1.5 V? Use W = qV. A.
grin007 [14]

Answer:

0.012 J

Explanation:

We are given:

q = 0.0080C

Potential difference =  1.5V

W=qV

Substituting the values into the equation:

W=0.0080*1.5= 0.012J

djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

D) 735 J(oules)

Explanation:

Work is defined as force * distance

Force is defined as mass * acceleration

Given a mass of 15 kg and a gravitational acceleration of 9.8 m/s² since the box is being lifted up, the force being applied to the box is 15 kg * 9.8 m/s² = 147 N

Since the distance is 5 meters, the work done is 147 N * 5 m = 735 N/m = 735 J, making D the correct answer.

Conservation of energy says the kinetic energy and the potential energy for each trial should be equal. true or false answer fas
kogti [31]

Answer:

true

Explanation:

this is because potienal energy is energy that is stored, and kinetic is energy being used, as kinetic is used, potential is also being used.
