China was the first socialist nation to begin the process, and in many ways it has been the most successful. Russia was the dominant republic in the old Soviet Union; whether its transition is successful will be crucially important. Before turning to the transition process in these two countries, we will consider some general problems common to all countries seeking to establish market capitalism in the wake of command socialism.

Give one example of government regulation and discuss the trade offs associated with it.
gtnhenbr [62]
Governments apply a Minimum Wage policy on Businesses to ensure the employees working for the businesses do not get exploited and get paid fairly. The trade off here is that with the Minimum Wage law in effect the businesses would face an increase in labor costs, since they gotta pay them more than if there was no Minimum Wage law, and businesses would lose out on some profit due to this increase in labor costs. To reduce these costs businesses might let go of some employees, either by firing them or making them redundant (either way the employee is losing the job) and this increases the Unemployment Rate in the country which the government does not like, as one of the government’s aims is to keep the Unemployment Rate low in their country but with their Minimum Wage law in effect they keep the businesses in check to ensure they don’t exploit their workers but they end up increasing the Unemployment Rate due to Businesses trying to retain (get back) some of their lost profit (that they lost due to the government’s Minimum Wage law).

Philosophy is an academic discipline that exercises reason and logic inan attempt to understand reality and answer fundamental q
nadya68 [22]

Answer:

The way it can also be seen is that philosofy, rather than provide you with such answers, sets a path for us to come up with our own interpretation of those kinds of questions. Let's take this question, for instance: Does God exist? Nietzsche said he has died but, does that mean he ever existed? Descartes: "Cogito ergo sum", How can someone thinks if not existed already? Philosofy gives you the tools to think of reality and come up with your own thoughts of it. So perhaps it is more accurate to see philosofy as "the mother of all sciences" and start from such an affirmation
