\frac{3}{4} = \frac{x}{12}

To solve for x you have to bring the 12 to the other side

How  do we do this?

Well if you think about it this is technically what the equation shows

\frac{3}{4} = x * \frac{1}{12}

This means to isolate x you can multiply both sides by 12 and that will cancel \frac{1}{12} from the right side

\frac{3}{4} * 12 = x * \frac{1}{12} * 12

\frac{36}{4} = x * 1\\\frac{36}{4}  = x

\frac{36}{4} can be further simplified to...

9

^^^This is the answer

Check:

3/4 = 9/12

3/4 = 3/4

Hope this helped!

Another method. I believe it is more simpler then the previous answer as I cross multiplied them. The results just require substitution and then you’re there

If √2 = 1.414 then find the value of (√50+√72) please solve
Rus_ich [418]

Given:

\sqrt{2}=1.414

To find:

The value of \sqrt{50}+\sqrt{72}.

Solution:

We have,

\sqrt{50}+\sqrt{72}

It can be rewritten as

=\sqrt{2\times 25}+\sqrt{2\times 36}

=\sqrt{2}\times \sqrt{25}+\sqrt{2}\times \sqrt{36}        [\because \sqrt{ab}=\sqrt{a}\sqrt{b}]

=5\sqrt{2}+6\sqrt{2}

=11\sqrt{2}

Putting \sqrt{2}=1.414, we get

=11(1.414)

=15.554

Therefore, the value of given expression is 15.554.

12x + 8 + 84 = 15х +9
RideAnS [48]

Answer:

x = 83/3.

Step-by-step explanation:

12x + 8 + 84 = 15х +9

Solving for x:

8 + 84 - 9 = 15x - 12x

83 = 3x

x = 83/3.

j=agv where a is a constant of proportionality.
j=1 when g=4 and v=5
1=a*4*5
1=20a
a=1/20
a= 0.05
j=0.05gv
When g=10 and v=9,
j=0.05*10*9
j=0.5*9
