0.04(0.7)= its multiplication. you multiply them together as a normal number without the decimal and then add the decimals after.
so it would be .04x.7
7x4=28
so it would be 0.028 because there are three numbers behind the decimal point in both numbers being multiplied.

1.8(0.3)= you do same thing with this one.
3x18=54
since there is 2 numbers behind the decimal the answer is 0.54

The vertices of a parallelogram are A(x1,y1), B(x2,y2), C(x3,y3), D(x4,y4)
Tju [1.3M]
For a parallelogram to be proven to be a rectange, the opposide sides must be parallel and the two adjacent sides must be perpendicular. For two parallel sides, the slope of the two sides is equal. Thus, for the parallelogram to be a rectangle, AB is parallel to CD. The slope of AB = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) while the slope of CD = (y4 - y3)/(x4 - x3) Also, BC is perpedicular to CD. For two perpendicular sides, the product of the slopes is -1. The slope of BC is given by (y3 - y2)/(x3 - x2). Therefore, for the parallelogram to be a rectangle. (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (y4 - y3)/(x4 - x3) and (y4 - y3)/(x4 - x3) x (y3 - y2)/(x3 - x2) = -1. The third option is the correct answer.

Mario buys tickets for either 47 or 57 dollars. He purchases 14 tickets and spends 738 dollars. How many tickets did he purchase
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

6 tickets were purchased at $47

8 tickets were purchased at $57

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the tickets purchased at $47 be x

Let the tickets purchased at $57 be y

We can form an equation from the question given which will be:

x + y = 14 ....... i

47x + 57y = 738 ........ ii

From equation i

x = 14 - y ........ iii

Substitute iii into ii

47x + 57y = 738

47(14-y) + 57y = 738

658 - 47y + 57y = 738

Collect like terms

-47y + 57y = 738 - 658

10y = 80

y = 80/10

y = 8

8 tickets were purchased at $57

Note that from i

x + y = 14

x + 8 = 14

x = 14 - 8

x = 6

6 tickets were purchased at $47
