Richard's ratio of cardio to resistance is  R = ------------ = 2/3

                                                                            18 min

                            10 min

Cooper's is  C = ------------ = 5/8

                            16 min

The LCD here is 24.  Rewrite 2/3 and 5/8 with denominator 24 for greater ease in comparing the two fractions/ratios:

R = 16/24 and C = 15/24

So it becomes obvious that Richard does a higher ratio of carido to resistance.
