Total number of people = 4 (Janice, Stephanie, Rose, and Gina).

Total amount to be paid for all 4 people = $ 84.70.

Janice, Stephanie and Gina worked = 5 hours each.

Total number of hours worked by Janice, Stephanie and Gina = 5*3 = 15 hours.

<em>Rose worked 45 minutes less, that is 5 hours - 45 minutes = 4 hours 15 minutes = 4.25 hours.</em>

<em>Total number of hours worked by all = 15+4.25 = 19.25 hours.</em>

Therefore, for total 19.25 hours of work total amount paid = $ 84.70.

Let us find rate per hour.

<em>Rate per hour = 84.70/19.25 = $ 4.40.</em>

<h3>Janice, Stephanie and Gina each paid = 5 × 4.40 = $22.00.</h3><h3>And Rose get paid = 4.25 × 4.40 = $18.70.</h3>

The equations below represent the numbers y of tickets sold after x weeks for two different local music festivals.
kiruha [24]

Answer:

Part a) 3.5 weeks

Part b) 185 tickets

Step-by-step explanation:

Part a) After how much time have the same number of tickets been sold for both festivals?

Let

x -----> the number of weeks

y ----> the number of tickets sold

we have

<em>Country Music Festival</em>

y=10x+150 ----> equation A

<em>Pop Music Festival</em>

y=20x+115 ----> equation B

Equate equation A and equation B

20x+115=10x+150

solve for x

20x-10x=150-115

10x=35

x=3.5\ weeks

Part b) What is the number of tickets sold at that time?

substitute the value of x=3.5 weeks  in the linear equation A or linear equation B

y=10(3.5)+150

y=35+150

y=185\ tickets

The density of iron is 7.8 g/cm3 . An iron beam has a volume of 10,504 cm³.
myrzilka [38]
The formula to find density is Mass/Volume

We have
Density = 7.8 \frac{g}{cm^{3}}
Volume = 10504  cm^{3}

Hence
Mass = 7.8×10504 = 81931.2 gram
