rrently offering a discount of $15 off the total cost of the rental. Lily and Juan have a total of $60 to spend on the canoe rental.

EDIT

Answer: x≤6

Explanation: the total number of hours (x) is less than or equal to 6 hours.

Because if you check my math below where I misread the question and gave a function... LOL

You will see that 7 hours would be too many.

So very sorry for the initial confusion!!

Answer: f(x)=12X-15

Step-by-step explanation:

X represents the number of hours.

F(1)= 12(1)-15 = $-3 or free. In real life I'm sure there'd be a requirement that you rent at least 2 hours to get the discount

Write the quadratic function f(x) = (3-x)2 in standard form.
Nitella [24]

Answer:

y =  - 2x + 6

Step-by-step explanation:

since \: f(x) = y \\

then the equation reads:

y = (3 - x)2 \\ y = 6 - 2x \\

The standard form of an quadratic function is:

y = mx + c \\

So the answer is:

y = mx + c \\ y =  - 2x + 6

Please help me this is due in less than 45 minutes!
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

1.) It's 20th century painting

2.) 0.5 probability

Step-by-step explanation:

If the universal = 60

We need to first get the value of X. That is,

x (x - 2) + x + 2x + 8 + 10 = 60

First open the bracket

x^2 - 2x + x + 2x + 8 + 10 = 60

x^2 + x + 18 = 60

x^2 + x - 42 = 0

Factorise the above equation

x^2 + 7x - 6x - 42 = 0

x (x + 7) -6(x + 7) = 0

x = 6 or - 7

Since x can't be negative, so we will ignore -7

The value for T = 6(6 - 2) = 6×4 = 24

The value for B = 2(6) + 8 = 12 + 8 = 20

If a painting is chosen from random,

If it's from 20th century, the probability will be 34/60 = 0.567

If it's from British painting, the probability will be 30/60 = 0.5

We can therefore conclude that it's from 20th century painting since it has higher value of probability.

The the probability of choosing a British painting will be 30/60 = 0.5

3xz(9xy+z)-2yz(x+y-z)
Alisiya [41]

Answer:  27x²yz + 3xz² - 2xy - 2y²z + 2yz²

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Use the distributive property.

   3xz(9xy + z)           - 2yz(x + y - z)

= 3xz(9xy)  +  3xz(z)  -2yz(x)   -2yz(y)   -2yz(-z)

=  27x²yz   +   3xz²    -2xy       -2y²z      +2yz²
