Make each column an allele for one parent, and make each row an allele for the other parent. Then you "multiply" each letter for the alleles into the resulting boxes. Each combination represents a possible result for the offspring.

      On the other hand V.harveyi cells present on another tube can itself produce light because according to the question fresh media is added in this tube inplace of CFS.

V.harveyi of both tubes produces same amount of light.From this point of view it can be stated that V.harveyi itself can generate light, it does not need addition of any CFS from outside.
