The total angle around a point is 360 degrees

If we have a clockwise rotation of 40 degrees, then the converse of this must me done in the counter clockwise direction in order to achieve the same angle

To do the converse we should move a total of 360 - 40 degrees in the counter clockwise direction because the total is 360 degrees

Converse move = 360 - 40 = 320 degrees

So, a 320 degree counter clockwise move would be equal to a clockwise move of 40 degrees

allsm [11]
We have the following variable:
 x = The amount of orange juice
 We have the following equation:
 x + (× + 100) + 1/2 × = 1850
 We clear x:
 (5/2) x + 100 = 1850
 (5/2) x = 1850 - 100
 (5/2) x = 1750
 x = 1750 / ((5/2))
 x = 700 ml
 pineapple juice = × + 100 = 700 + 100 = 800 mL
 strawberry juice = 1/2 × = (1/2) 700 = 350 mL
 The difference is:
 800 - 350 = 450 mL
 Answer:

The difference in the amounts of pineapple juice and strawberry juice martin combined was:

450 mL

Q = x^3 â xGiven that x is a positive integer such that x ⥠75, which of the following is the remainder when Q is divided by 6?
geniusboy [140]

Answer:

A) 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that

Q=x^{3}-x\\\\x(x^{2}-1)\\\\x(x+1)(x-1)

Divisor = 6 = 3*2

\frac{Q}{D}=\frac{(x)(x+1)(x-1)}{6}\\\\\frac{Q}{D}=\frac{(x)(x+1)(x-1)}{2 \times 3}\\

As it can be see that x ≥ 75 and Q is product of three consecutive terms (x-1), x, (x+1) which is always completely divisible by 2, 3 and 6. So remainder is zero

In a circle, a chord of 50 cm bisects a chord of 40 cm. Find the length of the longer segment of the 50 cm chord.
Andreyy89

Answer:

<u>The length of the longer segment of the 50 cm chord = 40</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

let the length of the longer segment of the 50 cm chord = x

so, the other segment = 50 - x

A chord of 50 cm bisects a chord of 40 cm

using the Intersecting Chords Theorem

so, x(50-x) = 20 * 20

50x - x² = 400

x² - 50x + 400 = 0

(x - 40)(x - 10) = 0

x = 40 or x = 10

<u>So, the the length of the longer segment of the 50 cm chord = 40</u>
