1. There is tension acting in the rope. The rope being pulled from the brown dog exerts tension force in the direction of the black dog and according to Newtons 3rd law the black dog would exert an equal and opposite force of tension in the rope towards the brown dog so there would be no motion at this point;
<span>2. The brown dog and the black dog would be pushed away from each other at equal force but in opposite direction according to Newtons 3rd law. </span>
<span>This could also be related to Newtons 2nd law which is about resultant force and F=ma but since the question only asks for 3rd law its probably not appropriate.</span>

Which declares two related integer vectors named personname and personage each with 50 elements?
Serjik [45]

Both vectors should be declared to have the same number of elements.

vector<int> personName(50); vector<int> personAge(50)

Vector is a quantity that has both magnitude and direction. It is typically represented by an arrow whose direction is the same as that of the quantity and whose length is proportional to the quantity's magnitude. Although a vector has magnitude and direction, it does not have position like a point.

A small object is attached to a horizontal spring and set in simple harmonic motion with amplitude A and period T .
kupik [55]

Answer:

t = 3/2T

To find how long it takes to cover a total distance of 6A, we need to find the time it takes to cover a distance A then multiply by 6.

The step to the solution is given below in the attachment.

A horizontal spring with stiffness 0.4 N/m has a relaxed length of 11 cm (0.11 m). A mass of 21 grams (0.021 kg) is attached and
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

0.6983 m/s

Explanation:

k = spring constant of the spring = 0.4 N/m

L₀ = Initial length = 11 cm = 0.11 m

L = Final length = 27 cm = 0.27 m

x = stretch in the spring = L - L₀ = 0.27 - 0.11 = 0.16 m

m = mass of the mass attached = 0.021 kg

v = speed of the mass

Using conservation of energy

Kinetic energy of mass = Spring potential energy

(0.5) m v² = (0.5) k x²

m v² = k x²

(0.021) v² = (0.4) (0.16)²

v = 0.6983 m/s

2. A student places an object with a mass of m on a disk at a position r from the center of the disk. The student starts rotatin
ycow [4]

Answer:

\frac{0.065}{r}

Explanation:

The maximum velocity of an object moving in a curve beyond which it will slide off the curve is given by the relationship in equation (1);

v=\sqrt{\mu gr}....................(1)

where \mu is the coefficient of friction between the object and the surface of the curve, g is acceleration due to gravity and r is the radius of the curve.

Given;

v = 0.8m/s

g = 9.81m/s^2

r = ?

\mu=?

In order to solve for \mu, we can simply make it the subject of formula from equation (1) as follows;

v^2=\mu gr\\hence\\\mu=\frac{v^2}{gr}.................(2)

since we were not given the value of r, we can just substitute other known values, then solve and leave the answer in terms of r.

Therefore;

\mu=\frac{0.8^2}{9.81r}

\mu=\frac{0.64}{9.81r}\\\\\mu=\frac{0.065}{r}
