Answer:

Explanation:

Once the steady-state phase is reached, the equilibrium concentration of the pool of unassembled subunits is called the critical concentration (Cc). This parameter is a measure of the ability of a solution of G-actin to polymerize. Under typical in vitro conditions, the Cc of G-actin is 0.1 μM.

An artifact contains 1/4 as much carbon-14 as the atmosphere. How old is the artifact
musickatia [10]
The artifact appears to have gone through 2 half-lives.
One half-life for Carbon-14 is 5730 years.
After 5730 years, there would be 1/2 as much carbon-14
After another 5730 years, there would be 1/4 as much carbon-14

The answer is roughly 11,460 years

The voltaic cell produces electric current from a spontaneous chemical reaction, but electrolytic reactions are not spontaneous.
scZoUnD [109]
I believe the correct answer is true. Voltaic cells produces current from spontaneous reactions and is also known as galvanic cell. For electrolytic cells the reactions are not spontaneous and requires input of current for the reaction to occur.

What is the only type of plate inaction that can cause an earthquake to be 9.0 on the Richter Scale?
Sedaia [141]

Answer: Subduction zone

Explanation: How do we know the subduction zone exists here? Mostly because of geological data left behind by subduction zone earthquakes, known as megathrust earthquakes. Subduction zones are the only type of plate meeting that can cause earthquakes greater than magnitude 8.5, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.

Explain how acids and bases directly or indirectly affect the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution.
ehidna [41]

By taking hydrogen ions, certain bases directly lower the H+ than OH- concentration. Other bases break down to create hydroxide ions, which indirectly lowers the H+ concentration.

What is the difference between acid and base?

H+ ion concentration is raised by an acid. A base is a chemical that, in an aqueous solution, produces hydroxide (OH-) ions, gives electrons, and receives protons. A donor of protons is an acid. A proton can enter a base. When dissolved in water, an acidic chemical compound produces a solution that has more H+ ion activity than clean water. A base is an aqueous material that releases hydroxide (OH-) ions, receives protons, or contributes electrons. A donor of protons is an acid. A base is a proton acceptor.
