If you multiply 2/3×6/10 Will the product more than 2/3 or less than 2/3

BigorU [14]3 years ago
6 0

To multiply these two fractions just multiply both numerators and both denominators.

= \frac{2}{3}*\frac{6}{10}

~Multiply

= \frac{2 * 6}{3 * 10}

~Simplify

= \frac{12}{30}

~Simplify

= \frac{6}{15}

~Simplify

= \frac{2}{5}

2/5 = 0.4

2/3 = 0.6...

0.6... > 0.4

It will be LESS then 2/3.

Best of Luck!

The mean annual premium for automobile insurance in the United States is $1,499. Being from Pennsylvania, you believe automobile
timama [110]

Answer:

a) Then, t(s) is in the rejection region. We can not support that the mean annual premium in Pennsylvania is lower than the national mean annual premium

b) The point estimate of the difference is  59 $

Step-by-step explanation:

From sample we get:

sample size    n  =  25

annual mean   x  =  1440

standard deviation of the sample   s  =  150

mean for the mean annual premium    μ  = 1499

Hypothesis Test:

Null Hypothesis                      H₀           x  =   μ

Alternative Hypothesis          Hₐ           x  <   μ

Alternative Hypotesis indicates that the test is a one-tail test to the left

Let´s assume  confidence Interval 95 %    then  α  =  5 %   α = 0.05

As  n < 30 and we assume normality we will make a t-student test

degree of freedom    df  =  n  -  1    df  = 24

With df = 24  and  α = 0.05 and from t-student table we get t(c) =  - 1.711

To calculate t(s) we apply:

t(s)  =  (  x  -  μ ) / s/√n

t(s)  =  ( 1440  -  1499 ) * 5 / 150

t(s)  =  - 59/ 30

t(s)  =  - 1.96

Comparing t(s)  and t(c)

|t(s)| > |t(c)|

Then, t(s) is in the rejection region. We can not support that the mean annual premium in Pennsylvania is lower than the national mean annual premium.

b) The point estimate for the difference is :   x  - μ  =  59 $

Carpet costs $21.95 per square yard and the padding to put under it costs $2.55 per square yard. Felix plans to install padding
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

$1679.175 or $1679.18

Step-by-step explanation:

split the carpet into rectangles to make it easier to look at

one rectangle is 2 yards in height and 9 yards in width (5 yards plus 4 yards)

area of a rectangle = (w)(h), so 9 x 2 = 18 yards in area.

second triangle is 4 yards in width, and 3 yards in height.

area of a rectangle = (w)(h), so 4 x 3 = 12 yards in area.

Total area = 30 yards

30(21.95)(2.55) = $1679.175 or $1679.18

The number of members on an organization increases by an average of 125 members annually. There were 3,875 members in 1971. Choo
Lena [83]

Answer:

B.

Mn = Mn-1 + 125 for n > 1 ; M1 = 3,875

Step-by-step explanation:

Since they tell us after 1970, the first data would be that of 1971 and also that if we started since 1970, we do not know the data of 1969, therefore answer B is correct.

Replacing:

Let M1 = 1971 then Mn-1, that is M0 = 1970, we know that the population of 1970 the population is 3750, because it would be 125 less than the subsequent year, and in 1975 there are 3875. Therefore:

in n = 1

 M1 = M0 + 125

3875 = 3750 + 125

this gives an equality, thus fulfilling the equation.
