Use absolute value. If both signs are negative you will get a negative number. if both are positive you get positive. if the signs are different, subtract the smaller absolute value from the larger absolute value.

MariettaO [177]
By asking on Brainly, you clearly don't care how you get the answer.

The part of interest is the law of sines tells you
.. A = arcsin((12/11)*sin(46°)) = 51.7° . . . or . . . 180°-51.7° = 128.3°
.. c = 11*sin(82.3°)/sin(46°) ≈ 15.2 . . . or . . . sin(5.7°)/sin(46°) ≈ 1.5

Selection D is appropriate.

Which numbers are irrational?<br><br> Choose all answers that are correct.
Otrada [13]

The first two. In fact, you have

\sqrt{20} = \sqrt{4\cdot 5} = \sqrt{4}\cdot \sqrt{5} = 2\sqrt{5}

and \sqrt{5} is irrational.

Similarly, \pi is irrational, and the same goes for 4\pi.

Instead, the square root and the second power simplify in the third option:

\left(\sqrt{13}\right)^2 = 13

and similarly,

\sqrt{196} = \sqrt{14^2} = 14

HELP A BRO OUT PLEASE
Gnoma [55]

The answer is False.

Similar figures are shapes where one looks like a miniature, larger, flipped, and/or rotated version of the other. Thus, they will have sides that are proportional to each other and will have same angle measurements.

MNOP is a parallelogram, while QRST is a square. They are not similar because they do not have congruent angle measurements although the corresponding sides are proportional.

(Interesting property regarding similarity: Any square is similar to another square)

Hope you found this useful!

Which expression is equivalent to (One-sixteenth) Superscript negative 4?
Bumek [7]

Answer:

65,536

Step-by-step explanation:

Since there are no options, I would simply simplify the expression given.

One-sixteenth=\frac{1}{16}

We want to determine an equivalent expression to (\frac{1}{16})^{-4}

Now, from laws of indices (i) a^{-1}=\frac{1}{a}  (ii)a^{mn}=(a^m)^n

Therefore applying Rule (ii) above: (\frac{1}{16})^{-4}= (\dfrac{1}{16})^{-1X4}=[(\dfrac{1}{16})^{-1}]^4

Using Rile (i),

(\dfrac{1}{16})^{-1}=\dfrac{1}{\dfrac{1}{16}}=16

Therefore [(\dfrac{1}{16})^{-1}]^4 =16^4=65536
