Mathematics

0.674 means that it 674/1000

which mean that if the model consists of 1000 squares, you have to shade 674 of the squares.

If the model consists of 500 squares, you have to shade 337 of the squares ( you get the number after dividing both 674 and 1000 with 2)

Choose the congruence theorem that you would use to prove the triangles congruent.
Elena L [17]

Answer:

SAS

Explanation:

Before solving the problem, let's define each of the given theorems:

1- SSS (side-side-side): This theorem is valid when the three sides of the first triangle are congruent to the corresponding three sides in the second triangle

2- SAS (side-angle-side): This theorem is valid when two sides and the included angle between them in the first triangle are congruent to the corresponding two sides and the included angle between them in the second triangle

3- ASA (angle-side-angle): This theorem is valid when two angles and the included side between them in the first triangle are congruent to the corresponding two angles and the included side between them in the second triangle

4- AAS (angle-angle-side): This theorem is valid when two angles and a side that is not included between them in the first triangle are congruent to the corresponding two angles and a side that is not included between them in the second triangle

Now, let's check the given triangles:

We can note that the two sides and the included angle between them in the first triangle are congruent to the corresponding two sides and the included angle between them in the second triangle

This means that the two triangles are congruent by SAS theorem

Hope this helps :)

Venn diagram ( attached image )
alexandr402 [8]

Assessing the given Venn diagram and the data related to it, we can answer the required question:

Q1. How many people were surveyed = 86.

Q2. What is the probability that a customer chosen at random:

a) takes salt P(S) = 46/85.

b) takes both salt and vinegar P(S ∩ V) = 13/85.

c) takes salt or vinegar or both P(S ∪ V) = 66/85.

The number of people who take salt chips n(S) = 46.

The number of people who take vinegar chips n(V) = 33.

The number of people who takes both n(S ∩ V) = 13.

The number of people who take neither n((S ∪ V)') = 19.

Therefore, the total number of people surveyed n(U) = n(S) + n(V) - n(S ∩ V) + n((S ∪ V)') = 46 + 33 - 13 + 19 = 85.

The number of people who takes salt or vinegar or both n(S ∪ V) = n(U) - n((S ∪ V)') = 85 - 19 = 66.

The probability that a customer chosen at random takes salt P(S) = n(S)/n(U) = 46/85.

The probability that a customer chosen at random takes both salt and vinegar P(S ∩ V) = n(S ∩ V)/n(U) = 13/85.

The probability that a customer chosen at random takes salt or vinegar or both P(S ∪ V) = n(S ∪ V)/n(U) = 66/85.
