Parents can open lines of communication by using reflective listening and scheduling one-on-one time.
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Parents need to know how to communicate effectively with their children and two ways of doing this would be through reflective listening which is more than just listening to your kids it involves actually paying attention to what they are saying, the good and bad things, and also by scheduling one on one time making sure that your children know they are important and can talk to you.
